"Came to post, fence was taken down between block houses. Map is very hard to read."
"On an Ohio TuesDayTrips adventure we came to Fort Recovery. We happened across the Ft. Recovery Stockade and Museum. We stopped and learned many unknowns from the beginnings of America and how battles here were decisive in the victory over the British. The Ft. Recovery Stockade rebuilt fort wall is part of a park and we took opportunity to walk around outside a bit and stretch our legs. One point of interest to the ladies was a statue of a woman “Red Haired Nance” who held her baby and fought off attackers with a cast iron skillet. We decided we would return to Ft. Recovery in the future once the Museum and other things open up. There is a walking tour we found of the area as well that looks fun and educational. We also want to get a closer look at the town itself."
"I never realize the significance of this place until I visited it. It was a huge turning point in the war against the Native Americans."
"Great place for hands-on frontier life! Loved being inside an actual fort! Walls and all! My son was equally impressed! Great family trip!"
