"This funeral home is TERRIBLE!!! I live in NC my father lived in their small town…. Everything was horrible from the beginning to the end. We didn’t have my father a funeral just a direct memorial service then cremation afterwards I guess you’re saying how bad could it have been. Well let me tell you the owner was more interested in taking my aunt out for a steak dinner smh my dad passed away on 12/14 he was not cremated until 1/7 I believe so my aunt went to SC to retrieve his ashes & brought them back to me here in NC that’s when all hell broke loose that man called my phone MULTIPLE times a day almost a week straight until I told him I would take legal matters in my own hands for harassment he threatened me & told me that I needed to return the ashes because I guess my dads wife & him came up with some sort of agreement & she didn’t want me to have them anymore but long story short I still have my father’s ashes being that he let my aunt sign for me to have them, it was just a down right painful & hurtful experience that I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through"
"It was a pleasure working with Troy’s Funeral Home preparing for my loved ones Home Going Service. They made the process seamless and not overwhelming. Effective communication is a key factor for me and they made sure we were in the know about all details; everything was clear and concise. They were always available to answer any questions that we had within 24/48 business hours. The day of the service, the entire staff was very professional and empathetic to our family. Also, I appreciated that everyone wore mask and they kept everything sanitized. I’m glad our family chose Troy’s Funeral Home."
"It has taken me over a year to deal with and also to tell everyone about my experience dealing with the passing of my father. This was the worst experience ever my sister and I we’re not treated like we were laying our father to rest. The owner of this business was very argumentative and disrespectful toward me during my time of bereavement he didn’t do my father’s funeral at all the way it was planned. He did everything to accommodate a woman that was not my fathers wife. Louvina Rowell is not my father’s wife and made no decision when it came to my father’s health, my sisters and I did. My father did not get the Military Honors he wanted and they were available on the day of his funeral. His flag was supposed to stay in his family one of his daughters was supposed to receive it and Mr. Troy made sure that did not happen. I would not recommend this funeral home to anyone, but I do know being that he is in a small town he will continue to get business. This was the most Horrible experience of my life and I wouldn’t wish it anyone. I miss my father Bruce Jones very much and I wish in the end his wishes could have been meant."
"I wish there was a negative rating I could give. We had my mother's service there December 2018. They rushed my father to start the service, refused to wait 15 minutes for me to arrive. We were not able to view and approve the pamphlet before it was printed. We paid for it to be done in color, it was not. The speaker sounded like he had too much to drink. During the service he continually put my family on the spot for things we were told they were handling. At the cemetery another staff member spoke, which was basically a sales pitch. They left their vehicles running and had to be told to turn them off so that we could hear what was being said. The level of service we received was not worth a quarter of what was paid. This family has been doing this for so long, that they have gotten lazy and forget about the service they are supposed to be providing. They are way to comfortable and need to seriously overhaul their business and the people in charge. The particular speaker/pastor that spoke at my mother's service also spoke at my grandmother's service, same experience he does NOT need to speak anymore. He does not speak clearly and rushes because what he says is so rehearsed, they just don't care about the people or the service."
"The Troy family are very close friends to my family. They have laid to rest the majority of my family members within the city limits of Mullins and Marion county. My grandfather was the last to be put to rest and I was totally amazed how he looked during the family view. He looked more like himself in his eternal resting bed; then he did during the last stages of his life. You could not see any pain or worries on his face as he rest. All our family love ones looked as if they were in a peaceful state of mind. The flowers arrangements are always professionally arranged and they funeral concession, the line of the family and cars are very professionally done as well. There cars are serviceable, clean inside and out, and smooth riding. Troy funeral services is very professional family owned business; who will take care of your family needs during your time of bereavement. They are the best at what they do; you can not go wrong. Christopher Cantey, Killeen, Texas."
