Reviews
"Waited 20 mins for one boat that was no where near the bridge at the beginning of the process to go through. Whoever is running this bridge needs to wait till the boat is at a reasonable distance instead of stopping traffic for 20 min during rush hour for a sail boat to drag through unless it is police military or commercial shipping the boats should not have priority"
"We have been waiting at the bridge for over 15 minutes and plenty of time for an opening between traffic, but no opening. Ridiculous."
"I can understand the length of time to open bridge to make sure no one is on it before opening waterway. But why when bridge is back in road position does it take 3 light changes roughly 15 .minutes for the arms to raise up for traffic to flow. There is no one on bridge already checked to open."
"Sitting here for 8 minutes. Not a boat in site"
"Neat old swing bridge named after a guy with a funny nickname. And apparently some commenters didn't notice that it crosses an active shipping channel, and also don't know that marine traffic has the right of way. The bridge opens on demand. If you're in that much of a hurry, use the Route 17 bridge right next to this one."
