"First time at this fun restaurant. Dawn was our waitress and gave a detailed explanation on the menu, meats, spices, condiments and cooking instructions. What a wonderful experience not to mention the delicious food and condiments. I highly recommended Lava and would bring our friends. Ask for Dawn!"

"We were on the way to this place, reading reviews and couldn't see anyone complaining about the food, so we decided to give it a try. SO FREAKING GLAD WE DID! This was a whole experience. From the moment we came in, Keenan was so freaking attentive and kind. We had an issue with a patron behind us who had a raging BO situation and he was so completely understanding when we asked to move. He explained everything to us in detail, joked with us, made us feel like we were the only people in the room. We literally never had to ask him for a thing. This is all before we even got our food which was incredible. My friend and I shared the "big kids" and it was plenty for both of us. We even got showed the inner working of how the grill works. I made a joke about being "really important, like practically famous" and one of the other waiters cake over and said "hey are you that Google local guide?!?" Just getting goofy and playful. Just overall really incredible experience and we cannot WAIT to come back."

"Fantastic Korean restaurant just outside the Basspro shopping center in Myrtle Beach. The food and service are all top notch! The outside seating with live patriotic music is also great! So nice to see a restaurant that has live patriotic music instead of the normal junk music offered at a lot of places. Kudos to Lava for such a great choice! Now back to the food. The spicy tuna bowl is amazing with huge chunks of fresh tuna and crispy fresh cucumber slices. The cucumber wrapped tuna crab sushi rolls are also amazing! The combo BBQ platter that you cook fresh on the grill built into your table was full of fresh, flavorful meats including chicken and steak and short ribs. The sides of fresh veggies and lettuce wraps were all super crispy and fresh. You can't beat this place for Korean BBQ! A must try and a definite return visit for my wife and I."

"Really enjoyed the experience. Our server, Kaleb, was super friendly, answered every question and kept up with our drinks and food. He was just amazing and made our first time memorable. The food was very delicious and the quality is great! For our first time we did the Big Kids, which fed up to 3 people. The only thing is that I felt could be a little better would be table room. Was a little cramped."

"Arrived about 3:40 hoping for sushi. Their sushi chef's wife is expecting so he was not there. Call before heading over if you want sushi or anything with fish. We ordered the beef with scallions - tasty but quite pricey for the portion size and the sweet and sticky crispy chicken which I found chewy - almost as if it was all skin with a lot of breading. Fully stocked bar with about 6 beers on tap,a cocktail menu and a sake menu. None of which was available so I'm guessing they don't have their liquor license yet. We were never offered the happy hour menu. I'm sure it's because most of the happy hour items have fish. No dessert???? We'll most likely be back at some point but I think they'll need some time to work through the process. Bring a jacket or sweater. Multiple exhaust fans going for the table top grills. I'm sure it will be fine when they're being used during peak times but for early evening I found it chilly."
