"We had my father cremated at Smith. I would not recommend them. They told me it would be 7 to 10 days before he could be cremated so we had his memorial in KY without his ashes. Smith called a few days later to say they were planning to cremate him the next day (not 7-10) and would any of us like to be there. Since I was AT HIS MEMORIAL I told them I’d call them back. They called again the next day and I asked my brothers. I told smith we wouldn’t be there but would like to know the day and time that he would be cremated. A few days later I called to check and found out they’d already done it! When I went to pick up his ashes they had trouble finding them and then even more trouble finding his death certificates. I felt like we weren’t important since we weren’t spending much money there. I wouldn’t recommend them."
"We were very pleased with the kindness and professionalism from the persons at Smith Funeral Home. We would not hesitate to recommend their services."
"Excellent at interstate handling! Explained everything and let me focus on other details. Very compassionate."
"My first visit to smiths to plan my dad's funeral was not a pleasant experience..However, as soon as Andrew took over the details I experienced compassion and concern for helping me through a very difficult process. I cannot express enough how thankful I am For Andrew and Rob who made my dad's celebration of life go smoothly from beginning to end. David was very kind in helping us at the gravesite.. I really appreciate these gentlemen for all they did for my family."
"I have to say that this funeral home does not have the reputation that it used to. My friend passed away and Smith's took care of the service. When they went to her house to pick up her body they kept calling her a he more than once. The service itself was a cluster. They didn't start showing her picture slideshow until 30 minutes after it started. They started the music while her son was speaking. At the grave side, the hearse drove all through the cemetery over everybody's graves which I was appalled . And at the end of the service Smith's employee said you are dismissed please."
