"It's a decent gym, it has good machines that are well kept and function great, however I wish they would get better attachments perhaps, for the machines, that have better grip especially. I feel like whenever I am doing my weighted rows if my hands are even slightly sweaty the preferred attachments for the excercise slip from my hand since they have no grip. I also feel that the shower floors in the men's restroom can at least be washed more often, or at least a regular cleaning of the free weight gear, because everytime I wipe it off it'll turn my wipe a completely different color which doesn't bother me personally that much but for new comers it can be pretty gross as some of my friends have said. >Great gym, I have reccomended it to a few people, and they seemed to enjoy it especially for a first gym."
"I just moved to the area and needed to find a gym to work out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and given a tour of the facility. I was very satisfied with their equipment and cleanliness of the cardio area as well as all workout areas. Very friendly people. Great place to work out!"
"Clean, pleasant staff, decent free weights and weight lifting equipment, lots of cardio machines too. Locker rooms are quite small but clean. I wish the Rec Center would stay open later on Saturdays (closes at 1 pm on Saturdays bc of CoVid hours) and begin to open on Sundays for abbreviated hours (never been open of Sundays!). The price is right and good value."
"Very nice recreational facility right here in Hayesville. If you're looking for a place to work out in a gym, play racquetball, soccer, baseball, pickleball, or just go for a jog or walk, this is a great location for that and more. The ball fields are lit although I don't know if that's just for leagues to play at night? There's a walking path down to the Hiwassee River. Just a great park for all kinds of activities near downtown Hayesville."
