Reviews
"I can't speak to hiking up the trail; we took the shuttle, but going down was pleasant. The walk down took about 10 minutes on a nicely shaded and paved trail. There is a picnic table at the top and benches along the way."
"Did you know that Brasstown Bald is the highest point of Georgia and a great place to visit with your family? They even offer shuttle service from the parking lot. Admission for adults is only $8, and children under 14 get in for free. The picnic benches and make it a perfect spot for a family outing. Some visitors have reported bugs in the area, but going in the fall is highly recommended for the beautiful scenery. Overall, it's a great destination to enjoy quality time with your loved ones."
"The views from this mountain were absolutely beautiful. Make sure you go to the tower. You can hike along the trail or you can take the shuttle."
"Tough trail for families to go to Brasstown Bald top from the parking lot. It's just about 0.5 miles or so, but will take a while. At nights, there are absolutely no lights, so get flashlights if you want to go to the viewpoint for star gazing or just to see the beautiful views of Helen, Atlanta and many other towns cities around."
"Great lesser-utilized trail. $3 to park in the large Brasstown Bald parking lot. The trailhead is at the absolute furthest point from the visitor center. Blue-blazed, moderate difficulty trail with lengthy climbs and descents. Nice variety of foliage and terrain."
