"Beautiful location . Picnic tables and grills. Small.... park without restroom. Steps into river . Nice place for lunch"
"Wonderful public access area. Only rated 2 stars to grab attention for this important warning. The water changes so fast due to dam release that I’d consider it dangerous for those who aren’t strong swimmers. Don’t let the shallow pools lure you into a false sense of security. I had my kid there yesterday and was letting him go to the middle because I could tell the stairs were wet and muddy. Surely we had just missed the dam release? Not so! TVA publishes their schedule, but it is subject to change due to energy demands. Anyway, I have serious doubts that he could have gotten back to me by the time the water came. Luckily, he was by the stairs when the flood came. There is NO warning. It’s just upon you, rushing and deepening."
"Who ever did this. I give you a thumbs up. Been back several times awesome spot for swim n BBQ with kids. Ya gotta go to understand what I say"
"Small picnic area, pretty scenic Hiawassee River on the way to Fires creek."
"You can walk down the steps into the Hiwasee River which is a great aspect. The grounds are kept clean but the BBQ pits are very old and the "playground" is one you'd buy at Lowe's for your backyard, definitely not for park use. I have it 3 stars because a lot of parks around here don't have actual access to get into the river."
