Welcome to The Shakery at Powell, a beloved neighborhood diner with a rich history dating back to 1967. Originally established in Knoxville’s Inskip Community, we're proud to have expanded to our new location in historic downtown Powell at 2509 West Emory Road. As a local favorite, we serve up unique burgers, an extensive selection of craft beers, and our famous monster milkshakes.
At The Shakery, you can choose from over 50 freshly made burgers and sandwiches, all crafted to order right before your eyes. "The special milkshakes are a bit over priced but it is a large portion. I wish the woman behind the counter would've maybe suggested sharing one because the two milkshakes between my partner and I were definitely way too much to eat and we spent over 20 dollars. The shakes were delicious tho."

"DO NOT SLEEP ON THE SHAKERY! So glad there’s somewhere in our neck of the woods of Knoxville with great ice cream concoctions. If you have a sweet tooth, you’d be crazy to pass up this place. Always check their social media accounts to see what other creativity they’re mixing up! Blue Bell ice cream and all the fixins! For the best experience, get a Grilla shake! I got the Reese Overload, and it truly was death by delicious peanut butter. We’ll be back!"
"We went there for the first time Saturday . A young man did our order. He was super pleasant! You could tell he enjoyed what he was doing. The ice cream was incredible! It was a GREAT experience! Highly recommend! We will for sure be back."
