"I haven't been back for probably a year now. I used to go all the time, actually every single day. I was allowed to use cash and coins each time I came in to buy my cigarettes which I had done on so many occasions. I only did so when I had no more money on my card. Times are hard so I use my coins when I have to. Regardless they used to be so nice and they knew I always came in with the perfect amount of cash for my cigarettes. I never shorted them!. Well there came a day they refused my money and rudley flat out said they will not accept my coins anymore, and he began to laugh and looked at me and the other woman speaking in his own language, in a way I am confident was a mockery...of me...i could tell... They refuse cash I assume (not because they don't accept it) which is what he said, is that they won't be accepting cash anymore...but most likely because they don't want to count my coins anymore. Eventhough I always came in with it already counted as I stated before and they know I have never shorted them. Regardless, kenjo said they'll always accept cash and coins because it's money and it's spendable. And they never joke or make fun of me in a non american language. So that being said, Kenjo is just down the road. I'm not trying to be discriminatory, but it seems those at the shell are."
"I’ve been a loyal customer of this store for the past 15 years and at one time had so much respect and appreciation for the owners and employees. From kind gestures I’d witnessed from Ande letting folks slide when they were short on cash for lunch to conversations had with members of the community experiencing loss and countless other challenges of life. Unfortunately the person running this store currently has none of the aforementioned qualities every experience I’ve had has been negative and after today’s encounter I won’t be stepping back through the door of this location. I was sold an electronic vape that has a serious defect where it continues to heat the coil and get hot until you can cover all sides and restrict all possible airflow. when I showed him the device and explained my concern he was extremely rude and told me that it was fine and working and that he wouldn’t exchange it or refund my money. Honestly that’s exactly what I expected from him. Consider giving your business to people that give back to the community and care about decent business practices."
"I have been a customer for almost 10 years. Never had a problem in the past. Currently there is a young man running the store. Sometimes there is an older gentleman there (the owner?). When he is there, the young man is polite and friendly. When he is not there, the young man is always talking to someone on the phone. He is rude, he talks to the person on thebphine when you are talking to him. If I need to get cigarettes for my dad, is have to tell him 3 times what I need, BC he is too busy in thebphone. I have started going tonthe station by Hunt Road. It is owned by the same family, but they are actually nice. Somebody needs to teach thhis young man some manners and customer service."
"Christmas eve and the pumps are acting up.. you have to babysit pump #6 bc it is shutting off. We call inside to let the clerk know and she has a pushy attitude. We asked to report it to the owner so she said had told the owner many times. My husband's response was he would escalate the problem to Shell Inc. Her response was unacceptable...In a sparky voice she said 'well have fun'... and then to our surprise just hung up the phone. Last time I went inside to get a receipt bc it wasn't printing I outside same clerk just slid the print out across to me, saying g nothing...no acknowledgement, nothing. Is she so smug in thinking she is safe in her job that there is no need to use 'public ccourtesy or is it she doesn't care? If this were my employee I would wrote her up and be looking to replace her."
"The employees don't wear masks. We stopped to try to buy hand sanitizer, they had none. They didn't even have any inside the store we could use. I asked if they had a bathroom or even a sink I could wash my hands in. She told me no. No bathrooms,, no sinks. No antibacterial soap.. This would be disgusting even if we were not in an pandemic. I would never buy anything at this store. Its disgusting how they are acting like we aren't even in a pandemic."
