"My grandmother is 64 and suffered a severe cerebral stroke that requires round the clock care. We inquired about this agency ONLY for Wednesday’s because that it when her private aide and husband are both unavailable. The woman they set us up with told us that my grandmother would be her only resident and that if it weren’t for her needing help, she would move back to Atlanta, GA. My mother and I ran into the woman at the local grocery store and she seemed so caring and ready to work with my grandmother, until she never showed up the next day and didn’t call. Golden Years has been ignoring our phone calls for the last week and so has the aide. Please find an agency who will actually care about your family. This agency DOES NOT."

"I am 54 years old have emphysema and clinically deaf, [please do not try calling me, text only], and semi-handicapped…as well as agoraphobic. Not quite wheel-chair bound, but I cannot do more than a slow walk anymore. Cannot drive, and have no living family but 2 daughters that have a life of their own and no time for me. My hobby is woodworking/carpentry, and I’ve spent the last 28 years buying, having them stolen from me, and then re-buying using my credit cards and what others feel comfortable paying me for bird houses, plaques and signs, etc, all of which I built myself. (I actually have a good credit score and history of responsibility and integrity, that is the key to prideful completion of any task). Even our city mayor-Rick Ramsey; has a wooden flag that I made for him, and put up/installed in his office, (picture added to this missive-it’s a picture of him and me in front of the flag I built, shaking hands). Also, I’ve made several of these flags for law enforcement officers and firemen, Jail Correctional Officers, including a volunteer fire chief who lives next door, most of which I never accepted a cent for. I’ve gradually gotten worse-physically, so the hobby/service has begun to take a down-turn, my hobby now comes at the expense of later pain in my back and joints. It’s actually my own fault, I spent my teens and 20’s fighting illegally in northeastern cities. (I’m a trained martial artist-black belt in multiple styles).My body suffers the results of my young ‘diet of easy [ego] money’. It was nearly 13-15 months ago, I was told I required at least an aide during the week, to help me take care of my 2 bedroom rented home; if I did not feel comfortable moving into an assisted living type building. (I had bad experiences with these and my grandfather years ago). I accepted. I was enrolled in a city…government…(?) funded program called CAP, which subcontracts agencies/private businesses to care for the elderly and or disabled. My experiences to date consist of an aide smoking meth in my bathroom, another sleeping on my couch, several stealing my medication, and my money and items of mine I have acquired over many years. Barely doing, or completely lying about performing duties they had been hired to perform, when I ask-most respectfully that this not happen anymore, I was rewarded with things like spitting in my food, drinks, using my wash rags to wipe their self after using my toilet, and flushing the rags, costing me to have my toilet serviced/plunged, charging me for gas or threatening to leave me in public alone, when I need to go shopping or pick up my medicine-all of which is less than 10 miles away… it goes on and on. I’ve bought a safe, for my medication, and my money/credit cards, I’ve bought camera system with a hard drive to protect my good name from slander-Aides I caught and confronted, slandered me to their bosses. I have multiple times asked that my footage be viewed by them!!! It has never been, they swear they believe me, saying they don’t have the time to come do so, though. I’ve listened to stories by the ‘chatty’, rumor mongering ‘aides’ of even worse things done to others less able or afraid to move, speak or complain. Two different agencies, at least total of 15 different aides they’ve sent to my home, and its obvious from the treatment I’m receiving and I’m being slandered as a bad person. I must be ‘seemingly’ sent the worst available. The sub-contracted agency-Golden Years-best known to give you, and or sell you good marijuana only if you tolerate their terrible service, and so I had suffered through for a year or so, the last aide before I ask them not to come near my house again, was caught trying to erase my hard drive on my camera system, in my bed room! I don’t disrespect a female and never have, my mother raised me better-her actual words were “I was never to hurt, or allow to be hurt by my inaction, ANY FEMALE-FOR ANY REASON”! I feel an overwhelming responsibility to bring the truth out concerning these ‘Home Aides’ for those in need of assistance other than just me."
