"Lisa was extremely knowledgeable regarding ALL aspects of the explosions (1902 and 1911) along with the miners war with the State of Tennesee! This was one of the BEST museum tours I've experienced. It's small but packed with.artifacts and good sound information. True southern history lesson! Well worth your time!"
"This is a great little museum. The people in the museum are super knowledgeable and very friendly. Great way to learn some lesser known local history. We will definitely be back."
"We really enjoyed our visit to the Coal Creek museum today! We learned so much about the history of the mines in the area, of the brave folks who worked there, about catastrophic explosions who killed many and how the area was effected. The volunteer, Mary, has many personal connections to this history and eloquently shared her knowledge with us. We didn’t expect to stay for two hours, but probably could have stayed longer. I definitely recommend a visit for those interested in the history of coal mining."
"Tienna gave us a tour of the museum. She was wonderful, so informative, and knew so much about the life these families lived. The museum is small, but packed with information."
"We have visited the museum several times, always a great experience. History, artifacts and knowledgeable staff. We had the pleasure of talking with Lisa and she was born and raised here and knows some intimate details. We could have stayed longer! Thanks Lisa!"
