"We called mashburn to do a home remodel on our home for a disabled veteran to make the home better for my husband mobility. We explained over the phone what we needed done and mashburn said it would be no problem said in 2 weeks they could come out and give an estimate. On Tuesday 1:00 when they schedule the appt mashburn never showed. I called them and was told they are running behind and could not come out until the following day. So i had to cancel my dr appt for the following day to wait for them. They come out finally and said we would have an estimate in 2 days. Today i receive a text saying we can’t do your project. No reason no phone call to apologize for wasting your time nothing just a simple text. “This is Mike with Mashburn. I regret to inform that we cannot do the project for you. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.” What an unprofessional company. My husband is disabled and need this done for mobility reason and they have delayed Us for 3 weeks now"

"These folks just finished building a screened in porch on the back of our home. I have to say, this was a positive experience and the integrity of our Project Manager, Mike Owen, is the reason why. From the minute I began working with Mike, I believed I was dealing with an honest individual who had my best interests at heart. We had hit a snafu with a previous employee. Mike stepped in and immediately gained our confidence. The owner of Mashburn made certain that promises made by his employee (before Mike took our job) were kept, despite it costing him some money. This goes a long way toward understanding the type of people you are dealing with at Mashburn. The porch is beautiful and will be an asset to our lifestyle, as well as, add value to our home. I had some unusual requests that Mike was able to quickly and effectively trouble shoot. He ALWAYS answered the phone when I called, he ALWAYS showed up when he said he would, he ALWAYS followed through, he ALWAYS made sure the work completed was top notch. I have already asked him for a bid on a deck to compliment our screened room. I will gladly use Mashburn's services in the future and recommend my neighbors do the same. And I will request to work with Mike Owen every time."

"I just relocated to Tellico Village last month and moved into a new Mashburn home. A month later, I can still say that this new build exceeds my expectations in every way. Prior to selecting Kenny with Mashburn Home Builders, I extensively searched Tellico Village properties and interviewed three other contractors. My intent was to go with a different contractor, but my realtor advised me to at least hear what Kenny had to offer. During that first meeting, I knew without question that Mashburn was the right choice for me for a variety of reasons. One of them was the standard home plans that could be customized. Another was the fact that features Mashburn includes as standard with every home are extras with other builders, like crown molding, tray ceiling in master bedroom, granite countertops, hardwood floors, recessed lighting, custom cabinets, and composite decking. Lot prep was a major concern for me. Other builders wanted to charge me an additional $10,000 or more to have that done--it was one big question mark. Kenny had a perfect lot for me that he was willing to sell me at a very fair price, and lot prep was included, so I didn't need to worry. I quickly realized that I could get more value for my money by contracting with Mashburn. Prior to signing the contract, I asked Kenny for assurance that there wouldn't be a potential for any "surprise" or "hidden" charges, because that was my biggest fear. Kenny assured me the contract price was what I would pay, and that if I saved on my various allowances, I would also get any overages refunded at closing. During the build, personnel associated with Mashburn Home Builders were responsive and respectful in answering my questions and addressing my concerns. Kenny visits each job site daily, so he was always familiar with the status of my build, and he personally met with me every time I requested; I couldn't have asked for anything more. Because Mashburn employs a significant percentage of the workforce involved in their home construction, workers have high standards in craftsmanship, and really take pride in making their contribution to your home just the way you want it. I got to know all of these individuals by name and thanked each one personally with a gift when my house was completed because they really cared--and it showed. Neighbors on both side of me commented throughout the building process that they had never seen such a clean and orderly job site and admired the quality construction. Probably the biggest compliment to Kenny and his crew is the fact that my next-door neighbor needs a single-story home and he chose Mashburn Home Builders primarily because of what he'd seen firsthand and because of my positive experience. Additionally, my realtor took a couple through my home when it was completed, and they were so impressed by the construction that they intend to use Mashburn for their build as well. In conclusion, I recommend Mashburn Home Builders without reservation. You will never meet a more honest contractor whose work ethic and personal philosophy is manifested by his employees and the outstanding work they do. At the time of closing, I told Kenny that I was humbled by the TLC he put into building my home within the budget I identified and the desired timeline. He has my permission to provide my contact information for requests for references by any potential customers."
