"Thank you for responding even though I didn't need you. I feel safer knowing you would be there if I truly did. My husband and I were walking around our subdivision and my cell phone was in my pocket. I unintentionally called 911. Loudon Co. 911 called my phone back. I reassured the dispatcher the call was a mistake, apologized and was asked for my name, which I provided. Approximately 10 minutes later, an officer pulled up beside my husband and I as we were still waking and called me by name, I confirmed. He was dispatched to confirm I was indeed safe. I was truly so impressed! As a young child, I experienced domestic violence in the home and tonight I was reminded that this is still truly such a common issue. I trust that if anything would have been wrong, that officer and that 911 dispatcher were well trained and prepared to provide me safety. Thank you LC E-911 for your service and your concern. I pray I do not truly need your service, but I'm grateful to know you are there if I do or when others truly do. To anyone reading this struggling with violence in your home, work or life in general, there is help, you are not alone and I know you are worth more. Believe in yourself and find your more!"
