Reviews of Baroda Township Park
"The playground was safe for all the kids to go on. I have 4 kids, all 8 and younger, and they enjoyed themselves so much! There was a nature trail that we found and went on as well and had a blast going on that as well. Our church had a picnic there, and that was our first time going. I was impressed and highly recommend going to this park!"
"10/10 park. Concrete track and nature trails are great for riding bikes. Ran for over an hour one time in nature trails and still didn’t explore all of it. Playgrounds are fun. Lake is good for kayaking and fishing. Too bad they don’t allow dirt bikes and snowmobiles!"
"Paved walking trail. Fishing deck. Trails in the woods. Play ground"
"First time Trail visit for me here at Baroda Township Park/Hess lake as part of the Chikaming Open Lands #10trail #chikamingopenlands challenge. Totally cool and unexpected surprise. If you park in the first parking area do you have a short little jaunt to a boat launch and a overlook of the lake. Then there is a paved pass that appears to be about a half a mile if you walked the whole of it towards the back of the park where you will see the nature trail sign that heads into the woods. From here there are multiple paths and trails that meander through this wooded area with some pretty challenging hills if you choose to do them. The trail is packed dirt and not handicap accessible however the paved trail around the park is handicap accessible. There are bathroom facilities here. It is free, kid friendly, dog friendly. It’s definitely a different feel than many of the nature trails I’ve been on in the past with a different type of tree system and a fun little section at the entrance of the trails that have a bunch of white puffball flowers. Did about 2 miles here but I’m guessing that you could eeek out another mile or so As I did not explore all of the trails. There’s a nice playground here for kids, open fields, and soccer nets. There are also a couple of pavilions and picnic tables plenty of parking."
"Great hiking trail some lowland and highland. Plan on taking some hiking poles as the hills are very steep. Not wheelchair accessible. There is a walking track as well that is. The small pier is wheelchair friendly."
