"My first camping trip to Ludington State Park I discovered that there was once a town called Hamlin, before this I never knew the town existed but once I found out by reading informational signs that there was once a town there that got wiped away by a dam busting. Many of the people that were found where it lived there were buried in the local Cemetery I went to look for it, at first I asked around and could not find it looked on Google Maps and still cannot find it. Finally, I knew back in that day that they would actually build them on high hills to save some of the ground for farming and other stuff, so I thought to look up top as I walked around the campgrounds I knew it would be nearby. I looked and looked; finally, I seen a very small picket fenced area and there I saw it. that was we I listed it as being the cemetery and posted online for others to find the location, so others have a much easier than I had finding Hamlin cemetary."
