Reviews
"Short one mile loop behind the elementary school. Wide, easy paths. Many mosquitos. Saw 3 raccoons and a deer in that short space."
"Nice little preserve with some great spring wildflowers, primarily along the ravines and stream beds. Nice rolling topography with mature woodland trees and well maintained trails."
"Easy walk, maybe a mile and a half if you loop around it all. Overlooks a very tiny creek."
"Turtle Creek preserve is a Chikaming Open Lands property. It is located in New Buffalo Just around the corner from the elementary school. Parking for this preserve is in the school parking lot details in regards to this can be found at the Chikaming open lands website. This is a fun little preserve that intersects into And merges with the New Buffalo Elementary school trails. True to its name I ran into this little feller pictured below on one of the trails. Pictures in this post also include the New Buffalo Elementary school trail pictures as you really can’t tell where one starts and the other ends. most the trails are packed dirt with some old grass and a few boardwalk bridges. Altogether I got about 1 1/2 2 2 miles in here. There are no facility so plan accordingly. This is kid friendly dog on leash friendly."
"Nice trails. Some were overgrown in areas but still passable, just be cautious if you are allergic to poison ivy. Parking at the elementary school is convenient."
