"If I could give more than five stars I would! Absolutely incredible service from Kevin! He knew our needs before we even talk talk to him about what we had wanted as we had a lot of young kids with us. The food was excellent and didn’t have completed from anything that we had ordered. The selection was great and the mixed drinks were amazing. I highly recommend the Trip’s old fashioned. Great, kid-friendly atmosphere and space in the back with games and a small swing set. Highly recommend!!!"

"Drinks were great! Try the Mai tai Monkey! Service from Kevin was fantastic! Fries weren’t our favorite but the crispy battered fries just aren’t our jam -some may love it. Pizza was yummy! Linguine was great! Tacos are good. Plenty of outdoor tables and a fun vibe."

"Great first experience. Came here for our anniversary. The service is wonderful, great drinks and food was excellent. Love the outdoor area. There’s a 21 or older section and a family section. We will be back for sure. Awesome place!"

"I've only tried a few of the food items so far but I loved the shrimp skewers with sweet chili sauce (picture attached - my favorite so far)! I've only tried a couple of drinks so far. The upbeat atmosphere is relaxed, service is awesome, quick, courteous, attentive, and friendly! GM Caitlyn Caldwell is doing an awesome job, with a great staff, pulling all this together! I've already been there a few times since they opened and I can't wait to try more of their food and drink, and check out their upcoming events! Highly recommend this place!"

"Trip's Tree House, located on Highway 12 just outside Michigan City, is a new addition to the local dining scene that seems to still be finding its footing. My recent visit there was a mixed experience, underscored by a few challenges that suggest growing pains typical of a newly launched restaurant. Upon arrival, the first issue was the entrance, which wasn't clearly marked. This led to some initial confusion as we mistakenly entered through the wrong door, searching for a hostess. Once we located one, there was a noticeable delay and some disorganization in procuring menus before we could be seated. This disarray at the outset set a less than ideal tone for the meal. The interior of Trip's Tree House, however, did present a nicer atmosphere, and the patio offered a relaxed vibe that I appreciated. Unfortunately, the dining experience did not fully match the ambiance. The menu, while seemingly diverse, was disappointing as several items I was interested in were unavailable. This included the slider trio and a cheesesteak, leaving me to settle on a burger. The pretzel appetizer we started with was underwhelming for the price, consisting of just two pretzel sticks without the expected flair of a Bavarian-style presentation. When it came to the main courses, both my burger, which sadly was overcooked beyond the requested medium, and my companion's tacos, which were poorly assembled and scant on toppings, were average at best. Hoping for redemption, we decided to try a dessert. Choosing an available option was as cumbersome an affair as finding an available entrée, but we eventually settled on a pistachio cheesecake, which proved to be merely adequate. Despite these setbacks, I am open to the possibility that these issues are merely teething problems for a new establishment. The potential shown by the pleasant setting and the initial promise of the menu gives me hope. I would consider giving Trip's Tree House another try in the future, with the expectation that they will have worked through some of these initial difficulties."
