Reviews
"It was my second time there for printing. The first experience was fantastic. Today, however was absolutely terrible. The librarian was incredibly rude to the person on the phone and following the phone conversation continued to be rude to me. Never going there again."
"Just traveling thru Ironwood and had an extra day, so I thought I’d spend it here. It’s a rather quaint, albeit small library (and selection) with an historic charm to it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I wish I had a child with me to show him how a library works. If I needed a copy of something, say a lease agreement or whatever, I’d try Ironwood’s Carnegie Library (after going to the courthouse for suggestions, of course)."
"I'd just like to say that the reviews stating that the Ironwood Carnegie Library is not child-friendly is TOTALLY incorrect. I've been coming here since I was a young child. The staff are VERY nice to children and their parents, even when they are not behaving well. Also, there are MORE than enough child-friendly programs at the library, from summer reading contests to writing clubs to events where people from Michigan Tech come to teach about the town. I 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to rent books, movies, or a place to have your children spend some time at."
"Unlike other libraries, not only are there no child friendly events but also the head librarian actually snapped at my 3 year old for touching the glass door. Nobody in my family has been back since. I can't say if it's a good place for adults, as I now find other ways to get books for myself. I simply do not understand how this place can possibly retain Carnegie standards."
"One of my favorite places in town! As a homeschool family it is an extremely valuable resource. We get all sorts of interesting books and videos to read for fun and education. The employees and volunteers are amazing!"
