"I was a bridesmaid in a wedding yesterday, and the bride booked Angie more than 8 months ahead of time to do our hair, and some people's makeup. Angie intentionally chose to double book, and last minute, she informed us that she would send her assistant, Cindy, to curl our hair, and she herself would arrive an hour later to style it and do makeup. Cindy worked very hard, and did the best she could. Angie didn't get there until about 12:00. She was 4 hours late. We were supposed to leave for the venue at 1:00, which Angie knew. Because she was so late, the mother of the groom styled at least 2 people's hair, and the mother of the bride helped her own mother style her hair, and they both did their own makeup, which were all jobs that Angie had been booked to do. Angie did a decent job on the bride and maid of honor's hair and her other assistant did their makeup, but because they were so late, those were the only 2 people she had time to a good job on. She only spent 5 minutes on the mother of the groom's hair, because she was out of time, and her hair looked the same as it did every day, it did not look professionally done. She did one other bridesmaid's hair, but because she was so late, there wasn't time to do much. Cindy did my hair, and it looked great. Angie didn't apologize for being so late, and she was rude to the mother of the groom. She was also supposed to meet us at the venue to do finishing touches, but she never came. The ceremony started late because Angie set us so far behind. And the bride's hairstyle started falling out before the reception even started, because there weren't enough hairpins in it. We ended up adding as many as we could find on such short notice, and eventually she ended up putting a scrunchie around it to hold it in place."
"If I could give Angie, the owner, a negative 5 stars that would be appropriate for what she did to our wedding party of nine. Showing up 4 hours late, one hour before the ceremony and expecting to accomplish 9 updos and 5 makeups. Never again!"
