The River Church

Welcome to The River Church, a vibrant and welcoming church family located in the heart of downtown Mount Carmel, Illinois. Founded by Pastor Darrel Thompson and his wife Deana, along with their friends and family, The River Church began as a series of small meetings and has grown into a thriving community dedicated to faith, fellowship, and service.

At The River Church, we believe in nurturing a biblical concept of FAMILY, where authentic relationships with God and one another are at the core of our mission. We offer a variety of ministries designed to support and enrich our members' spiritual journeys, including our Men’s Ministry, Hidden Treasure Women’s Ministry, Marriage Ministry, and a dynamic youth group for middle and high school students.

Join us for our Sunday Morning services, Tuesday and Thursday Prayer Rooms, and our monthly River Outpouring services, where we come together to worship and grow in faith. Our River Outpouring Service times vary, so please check our social media platforms for the latest updates.
