Welcome to the Indiana Dunes National Park Marquette Trail Parking Lot, conveniently located at Long Lake Trail Loop, Gary, Indiana 46403. Our parking facility is your gateway to exploring the stunning landscapes and natural beauty of Indiana Dunes National Park.

Parking Options and Passes:

- Motorcycle Pass: Valid for 1-7 days from the date of purchase.

- 7-Day Family-Size Vehicle Pass: Perfect for private family-sized vehicles, this pass is valid for 1-7 days from the date of purchase.

- 7-Day Per Person Entrance Pass: Ideal for organized, non-commercial groups. This pass is for visitors aged 16 and older entering on foot, bicycle, boat, or as part of a group.

Important Information:

- Passes grant entry to Indiana Dunes National Park but are not valid at Indiana Dunes State Park.

- Interagency passes like America the Beautiful and The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series are accepted.

- Special initiatives include the Every Kid in a Park (EKIP) program, offering free access to 4th graders and their families, and a senior pass for citizens aged 62 and above.

- The Access Pass is available for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a permanent disability, offering lifetime access for free.

Beach Safety:

During peak summer, West Beach can become busy, and lifeguards may not always be present. Always swim at your own risk and be aware of rip currents and large waves. Learn to spot rip currents and follow safety tips:

- Don’t fight the current.

- Swim out of the current, then to shore.

- If unable to escape, float or tread water.

- Signal for help if needed.

Safety Campaign: "Flip, Float, and Follow"

1. FLIP: Flip onto your back and float.

2. FLOAT: Keep your head above water, stay calm, and conserve energy.

3. FOLLOW: Follow the safest course to safety; swim perpendicular to the current flow.

Additional Tips:

- Never swim alone.

- If in doubt, don’t go out.

- Stay off the shelf ice for your safety.
