"On this listed date, Thursday October 26th 2023 at approximately 1635, Mr Mario (gym owner) had confronted me about some issue with the men's restroom the male locker room. He had stated he checked his cameras within the week, accused me of flushing x amount of brown paper towels down his toilets, I had to explain and tell him I use the Sam's club or Walmart wet wipes to clean myself before and after using the restroom, at home or in public. He began to size up and attempt berate me saying he's 100% convinced I had clogged his toilets up and he had to send a professional plumber to rod out and clean the lines, claiming it was brown paper towels. Now I'm not the only one in the gym, I'm not the only one to use the bathroom, but he stated he's convinced I used brown towels to clean up. He said he didn't want an explanation, yet you question what I used to wipe myself up? Seriously? So when situations arise, he will attempt coercion and an explanation, but when he asks you to explain yourself he doesn't want an explanation only admission of something he's accusing you of. Then he goes on to tell the people he's working out with the situation, everything treated as gossip to try and exalt himself as the victim. He'll throw your business out there in the open. As he said he's 100% convinced, check your cameras again bud, am I supposed to flaunt and parade I'm taking a bathroom break each time and I have wet wipes in my pocket? No, I doubt that. I cancelled my membership right then and there for myself and my son's who also workout there since I am paying for it. Mr. Mario told me he's in the middle of working out he will take care of it later, and there's nothing for me to sign. But he can disturb my workout, ok fine, have it your way. I will take my money and business elsewhere, since he wants to berate and accuse someone of this matter. I was never late on payments nor had an issue paying. I mean, there are trash cans inside the men's locker room by the hand dryer, and outside the water fountains, all over the place, but when the urinals don't flush, showers don't drain, and toilets get backed up, the last person when he checked his beloved cameras in the locker room is to blame? I find it strange he's checking who goes into the bathrooms at what specific times to try and accuse people of a crime something they didn't do. But when another situation arises, his cameras didn't see anything, suits you when conveniently needed. So these are a problem now? *** Update as of 2/5/2024*** Mr. Scumbag business owner hired an attorney collection firm Aldous and Associates saying I never cancelled my gym membership, I never got an email stating a cancellation number, nor did I sign anything in writing. Mr. Mario said he would take care of it because he escorted me out of the building, he's accusing me of vandalism now you want to keep me there to charge me with trespassing? Check your cameras bud! Meanwhile, his business charged me for the whole month of October to November, how is that even possible? After that altercation with the owner, Mr. Mario, who would want to stay there and further escalate anything even more? So then who can I call? Oh wait, the cops to make a report while it's his cop buddies he's brown nosing to at his gym anyway, because they work out for free, and as a conflict of interest, so what now? Continues he parks his jeep or truck in the fire lane flexing on you showing how Mr. Barrington Rich he is but he's chasing you for pennies. Mr. Mario is the epitome of toxic gym culture and owners. He is too cheap to fix anything, holes in all the equipment backings, rusted brackets and pulleys, no bearings are greased, cables stretched, knobs missing, treadmills wobble and shut off randomly, smells like sweat and onions everywhere. Glad I left and took my hard earned money elsewhere. People like him are the reason I built a home gym. Photos are provided, I tell anyone to steer clear of his shady business, we aren't anywhere near communist socialist city of Chicago too bud take that somewhere else. I'm not alone."
"Don’t do it. Horrible place rude owner. Changing room/ restroom, needs a very deep clean. You can smell the musty smell as soon as you enter the facility. Definitely need to take precautions to not catch Ringworm or a Staph infection. Equipment out dated. Seats ripped up. Some items are secured with duct tape. Equipment missing piece. As for Treadmills some work sometimes. Definitely do a walkthrough of the whole facility before you commit because they will not cancel contracts no matter what life circumstances are present."
"If you want to lift weights in a great atmosphere, this is your gym. The staff is courteous and polite. They check you in with a smile and say goodbye when you leave. Very, very, nice people. Well hired for lack of a better term. Mario did a great job in this regard. The owner (Mario) is a gentleman. He has forgotten more about weightlifting than most people know. He treats everyone with respect and kindness. The rates are very competitive and you will enjoy working out here. This gym offers kids care so Mom's can work out while their little one is watched. It also has a top notch full shower area and spacious locker rooms. Tanning is an option and they have 3 beds. Very affordable! The gym is equipped with all the latest and greatest equipment. If you can't find a machine to use to get you where you're going, you can use free weights and vis versa. They also have a stretch room that is very large with a rubber floor (quiet). They have classes in all sorts of aerobic exercise here. Check it out. You won't be disappointed! In closing I would like to thank Mario for providing a great place to get pumped up!"
"Don't join! Unfriendly atmosphere especially if you have no gym knowledge. For $350 should have been at least 4 complimentary visits to get knowledge of the machines and general. Then they bill through a third party and once they get your information it is nearly impossible to cancel your membership and stop payments. Not only that, a copy of this billing agreement was never provided upon initial sign up. Very sketchy business. Wouldn't post this information without one star chosen. Update: ABC Financial still harassing for payment. Completely poor customer service, legal help on the way."
