"The cemetery is great."
"I had a pet cremated by Southlake Pet Cemetery. In their defense to the libel comment made some 2 months ago. Cremains are bone. How fine those cremains are ground up is the practice of that particular crematory. Some crematory's believe, the less ground up the cremains are, the more honest the cremains."
"Would love to add hours if there were any response from when I tried to contact them. I had my pet cremated by Southlake through my normal vet. The “ashes” came back in a tin. Something rattled in the tin and when I opened it, it was all ground up bones. And by ground up I mean large chunks akin to wood chips. You can still see the pores in them. I don’t know if this is standard practice and I haven’t had the heart to scatter them after this experience(my intent was to scatter them immediately), I don’t even know if there are even any ashes in the tin at all. I feel I’m not out of line in assuming the average person believes they will get ashes back when they send a loved one out for cremation. I have called several times during what one would assume are normal business hours(8-5). I left a message and a week has passed with no call back or response. The message I left didn’t have any indication of my hurt, I only mentioned I was interested in information on cremation. If the bone remains are standard, I was never informed of such a thing. Details like this about how you will receive your pet’s remains back seem like something they would want you to know before you get them and see ground up bone."
