"I had a medical procedure done, Dr. Leblanc is the best. Very professional, explained everything to me in detail."
"My endoscopy experience was HORRIFIC!! (This was my first experience with anesthesia, and I was terrified.) As if dreading this procedure for 3 wks wasn't bad enough, I had to sit and wait another 90 min for my procedure-- psychological torture! The doctors and nurses saw how scared I was, but just kept telling me to "Take deep breaths," and I "would be fine". By the time I FINALLY got back to the procedure room, I had a full-blown panic attack. The next thing I know, I jerked awake in the recovery room, and felt like I was stuck in a nightmare. I was disoriented and scared out of my mind. People kept jabbering at me, but none of it made sense. I didn't know what was going on. I remember crying and ripping off tubes and wires, then I went for the IV. The nurses had to hold me down while they removed it. That was a month and a half ago. The nightmares stopped, but the terror keeps returning, even when I'm driving or trying to work. My mild PTSD is so ramped up it has my counselor worried. Having panic attacks at work is NOT normal. If it doesn't calm down soon, I'll have to go on medication. The staff either doesn't know how to care for anxious patients, or they don't care. They're so desensitized to it all. You don't just treat the body-- you treat the whole person. After all that, it would take a dire emergency for me to EVER submit to another invasive procedure."
