"I was born in Gary and moved away years ago. I drove from MN to get a copy of my birth certificate. I will never come back to Gary! The copy of my birth certificate has my name misspelled and the error is their fault! My name was uploaded into their system incorrectly and they won’t admit it! I moved to another state years ago with my original birth certificate and Social Security card and ALL my legal documents have the correct spelling of my name. I drove hundreds of miles with several legal documents; social, marriage license, dl etc. only to be told I couldn’t use any of them. I will send the necessary documents (immunization and voter registration cards) to get my birth certificate corrected and I will never step foot in this hell whole again!!! Do better Gary! Hire people that have compassion and empathy for others!"

"I swear the woman answering the phone needs to be fired, she hangs up on customers after she yells at them! Horrible customer service, I'm trying to explain the situation to a lady and she wants to argue and be very disrespectful. Instead of researching and doing what's required of her she just tells her opinion, she wasn't listening and apparently doesn't know what she's talking about. So sad that Gary is known for unprofessional service, wow."

"This place is terrible they make you fill out the form. And look at there terms and it does say you can request a refund. They charge you $59 the second you hit the button. You don’t know your getting slammed with that fee. So I suggest go get your certificate at an office in your area. I am so upset I will NEVER get help from them. I’ll stand and wait if I need a certificate."
