About the Business
Welcome to Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, a sacred place of worship located at 8000 Madison Street, Merrillville, Indiana. As a vibrant and welcoming community, we are dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and supporting local charities and cathedral ministries.
Even when you are unable to attend in person, you can remain connected to our parish life. We offer you the opportunity to submit your family names for commemoration at every Divine Liturgy through a simple Google Form available on our website. Additionally, you can light a candle in prayer by submitting a request to our clergy online.
Our Online Chapel provides daily readings, hymns, and a monthly calendar of saints and feasts to enrich your spiritual journey. For example, on September 12, 2024, we commemorate the Apodosis of the Nativity of Our Most Holy Lady the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, along with other saints such as Autonomos the Martyr and Hieromartyr Cornatus, Bishop of Iconium.
God invites us to experience and participate in His love by offering ourselves to one another. By gathering as His Church, we give thanks to God in the Liturgy. We invite you to join us, whether in person or online, to experience the grace and community of Ss. Constantine and Helen Cathedral.

"I'm from Illinois but my grandkids and I happened upon the Greek Fest at Sts. Constantine & Helen's. We had a wonderful time and the parishioners were nice."
"Our son goes to preschool here at the cathedral early learning center and we love it! The teachers are so warm and caring. We arnt Greek or very religious but neither matter here. We dont feel like they push it on our son and there are a variety of ethnicities that attend the preschool."
"We went for Greek Fest, and even though they didn't have the carnival part this year, they had bouncy house8s and games for the kids . But the food- OMG is it ever delicious...I had the lamb meal and the hubby had the kabobs...it was soooo good. Worth every penny!!!! The desserts- all I can say is to picture yourself in dessert heaven. I think I got at least one of everything, and every last one was excellent!!!! If you haven't been, you have to make plans to go next year..."
"I called this church and told them that I needed help with dcs taking my baby and she said over and over again that she could not help me and that no church would help me and that I needed a lawyer. She said she didn't know me and when she spoke to the other people their she said "she's nuts." I asked her to tell her church my situation so dcs would not take my baby behind the publics back pretty much. And she said she did not know what she could do for me. I am so disappointed in people. I am not sure what the purpose of having a church is. Does the church not help the community? Or are they just a form of entertainment?"
