"Nicole was amazing! She was so easy to work with and very personable! Highly reccomend."
"Needed a unit and quick due to a flooded basement. Chantel was able to set me up within minutes while still being thorough. Great experience!"
"What can you say....it's a storage place. You drive in, put your things in your unit or take them out. When you first rent your unit, if you rent at the walk up kiosk, you are also able to purchase a lock. The lock seems ok but the keys to the lock are really cheap. You get two keys and one of our keys bent a little on the first use. I would recommend buying a lock and key elsewhere. Also, if you're late on your payment, they lock you out of your unit until you pay your rent and a late fee. The door to your unit has a slot for two locks. One is your lock and the other is for the lockout lock they place until you pay. The convenience of paying online is really nice. Location not too bad. Place fairly clean. They do place a bag of mice pellets in the unit so hopefully we didn't bring home any unexpected guests. Lastly, I may have kept this unit but the rent was going up every 3 months so we just decided to empty the unit."
"This is a company that I will absolutely spread a negative word to every person I can. First I rented a10x15 unit at the kiosk on site. The kiosk gave me the unit number and my monthly rent amount and I paid for the unit with my credit card. Went to the unit to move items in and found that the unit was larger than the 10x15 space that I rented. So I contacted red dot and explained to one the property managers "Ray", and by the way every person that works at the customer center must be a "manager" to discuss the size of the room. I let her know the size of this room was larger than the size I rented and should we stop moving our items into this unit. She stated that we should continue moving the items in the unit and she would get it taken care of. So after my movers were almost finished moving all the large items in, she gets back on the line and tells me she'll go ahead and let us have the unit for the 10x15 amount that I had already paid for, for the month, but the following month, I would be billed for the 10x30 unit. Keep in mind this unit is almost double the amount per month for the rent. Clearly that is not fixing the issue. I did not want to rent a10x30, but rather a10x15 unit. I asked her before my movers starting loading the unit with our property if we should wait for her to address the matter so that we didn't have to deal with moving the items twice, her response..She was going to take care of it. She took care of nothing, I asked to speak to a manager, she stated she was a manager and that there was nothing else she was willing to do to resolve this issue. At this point I've been on the phone for almost an hour and was completely done with speaking to someone that clearly didn't comprehend the bottom line fact that her fixing this issue, wasn't fixing the issue. I asked her for a corporate name and number so that I may speak to someone that understood how to deal with, at this point, this HUGE PROBLEM. She informs me that everyone is a property manger and that nothing else can be done. And then to top it all off, there were locks on the second door to the unit that didn't belong to use, which I informed Ray about on the call, and requested that they be removed so we could put our own locks on the door. These locks remained on the door for over 2 months before they were removed. I called in and asked if I could cut the locks off and was informed that I would be charged a minimum fee of $50 dollars for cutting the lock off and then a fee for property damage to the lock bracket. Also the rent was increased after the second month. EVERYONE SHOULD STAY CLEAR OF THIS FACILITY AND SPREAD THE WORD. They clearly don't understand or care to rectify the problem that they created. I would rate them zero stars if I could!"
"Poor communication with clients. Disorganized! Red dot storage bought the storage unit we were already using. When the change happened, I asked specifically what the changes would be and was told the payments and policies would be the same as what we were previously doing. I was told there would be no late fees. The 2nd month using red dot storage, they didn't process my check I paid on time and I received an invoice for the month I already paid. I had to pay over the phone and then they Mailed the check I sent back to me. I asked customer service the process for moving out and was told I would only get charged for the days I used it. In fact, we are being charged for the whole month and a late fee. I talked to 3 different customer services people and they all told me different policies. We went to the storage unit to move our stuff out and it was LOCKED! They could have given us a warning that they were going to lock us out and I would have happily paid over the phone. There seems to be really poor communication between red dot and client and also between themselves. We paid on time for 8 months and the one month we made a mistake we were locked out with no warning. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT IN CONTRACT BECAUSE CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL TELL YOU DIFFERENT THINGS AND THEN CHARGE YOU FOR THEIR MISSINFORMATION. We never had one problem with the unit until Red dot took over."
