"They try to say they do it fairly for the PICK 7 but what’s really going on they pick and choose the tickets they say they have a wheel but they won’t show us people that’s sitting there waiting to be called they also have way to many children coming there should only have adults. How is it fair if they have a family of 4, 6, 7 people and the one who come in alone by the time we get up there to pick all the good stuff is gone cuz the larger families have taken it all. The big families take all the Bleach, Diapers, Pads, Shampoo, Conditioner. If they are bringing that many people they should get 7 different tickets so everybody has a chance to get something."
"For the past 2 years, after I moved to Crown Point, I have struggled to belong to a parish. I am formally a parishioner from Holy Martyrs and still trying to find a place at St. Mary's and getting used to the changes from a smaller parish to a much larger one. However, I feel very comfortable the last few times I went to St. Matthias. The altar is very beautiful and bright. I really like the homilies from Father Jim Wozniak because they are straight to the point. I can remember the homily about "self-centeredness" and that really resonated with me. Thank you!"
"Can’t say anything about the church services. But as for the yearly garage sale….the volunteers will take items for themselves right in front of your face when buying outdoor. Have seen it before in years past, but this year it happened to me and my family after inquiring about an item. The volunteer said he had his eye on it before it was for sale, and then when I started to leave he took it for himself. Not an honest move. Won’t be back."
"I was raised and baptized in this church. My grandma still attends regularly. My children attend with her on occasion. It's very clean. I enjoy coming by for the St. Matthias sale which occurs about twice a year. Always lots of items and discounted prices."
"This was an excellent venue for the recital my kids had. Much better than the previous location. Nice little kitchen area and great sound in the big Hall."
