"Getting to see how it started for Larry was awesome. To see things from his playing career was great. I consider Larry one of the greatest. Best part I got to see him play college ball at ISU"
"This was great experience for my husband he loved Larry Bird when he played basketball. He has been to French Lick now and now to the Larry Bird Musuem. Only thing was not a gift shop to buy gifts. But that’s fine in all it was great day."
"I traveled 200 miles to see my idol and visit the new museum. It is a place to not only to honor a basketball legend, but to inspire its patrons. I found out many things about Larry Bird I didn't know from reading his book. The Red Auerbach Western Union telegram was interesting and the many quotes about Bird from other players off the court. I actually laughed out loud reading the trash talk wall. While reading about his humble beginnings they have some great visuals to explain how he and yourself measure up against the competition. He did not dominate in jumping or other things but used his quick mind to excel in the game. At the end of the visit I threw some hoops which I haven't done in years. I missed several shots and after touring this exhibit I am going to work on getting back into basketball again this summer. I think this is what this museum has set out to do is inspire everyone. I also now realize why Bird made such a great coach! I hope they do have some special exhibits or events over the years to keep it fresh. Its a small town and a small museum you only need to see once, I wouldn't mind stopping at it again to see something new if I was in the area."
