"great church I start a 14 years ago I love it everybody's friendly the pastor's fantastic if you like your old fire-and-brimstone type but puts a little l humor into his sermons too !Pastor lot of people seem like they're from the south even though the area used to be black Oak Indiana it's now considered Gary isome people worry but there's no need to worry! even though I moved to Park forest Illinois I still attend I will take the drive out there as such a great church got a lot of our members come from Illinois and farther out in Indiana come check us out and be witness to a wonderful sermon"

"Black Oak Baptist Church has an old fashioned altar, Salvation Invitations, Gospel tracts, youth group for teens and junior church for kids. There is also vacation Bible School in the summer. You may wear regular clothing at this church. No need to get a haircut or buy new clothing just to attend this church on Sunday. Members and regular attenders are nice people. We have contemporary Christian songs and old fashioned Baptist hymns on Sunday morning. Transportation is available on Sunday morning. If you're not 100% sure if you're going to Heaven, the pastors can take the Bible and show you how to get saved."
