"I worked with Maria last year in summer to get her help to rent my house in Crete, I live out of state. I am not a seller or a buyer, just used her service to rent. She was pleasant to work with on the phone and got back to me within reasonable time. However she promised I would have many applications. After I spend 11K repairing things though a guy she recommended and some vacancy she basically only had one application for me. ( I now think these tenants are her family members that she made them look all good ) on paper the tenants were fine but now 6 months later I find out they have many many red flags that Maria missed. Tenants have previous eviction and Maria said she checked and they didn't have any. None of the neighbors like these people and telling me the tenants have reputation in Crete for screwing people like me . Due to Maria not paying attention to simplest things about these tenants I am going through a very stressful and expensive eviction. Tenants only paid the first two months and they were late on every payment during that time. They haven't paid any rent since November and they have trial in March which means they won't even be kicked out until late spring /early summer if nothing else goes wrong . That's total of 18-20k with legal fees not including all the damages I have to do after the sheriff kick them out and because they are professional low lives tenants and know the system the lawyer said I can't even sue them for the money because I won't get anything. I am very stressed upset and will never recover from this . Do me a favor and don't go with this agent..she maybe pleasant , friendly and patient on the phone but she doesn't know what she is doing when it comes to screening the right tenant. Hopefully this may help someone like me from out of state."
