"If you are planning too move to Lansing, il. Please be aware Lansing do not prorated their window sticker. I move to Lansing October 8, 2021 and purchase two window stickers at regular price($45 each). I ask the lady at the clerk office, do you prorated the window sticker, she said no."
"I've been living in Lansing for 21 yrs. My family and I have NEVER experienced any wrong dealings or bad service from all agencies of Lansing. We enjoy the MANY festivities they present all year around, Including the neighborhood parade. Our suburb, trustee's, first responders and mayor tries to do their best to service this area. I appreciate each and everyone of the servicemen and women. Keep up the GOOD WORK LANSING, and know that my family and Pastor Munsey from Munster Indiana prays for Lansing Illinois. We will watch God who is my highest power continue do the change for the better."
"The village of Lansing don't even help the elderly residents in our area. You could go to Chicago where the taxes are cheaper and get abundance of food from various food pantries churches etc. Here in Lansing with these high taxes you can get no help they direct you to a church that want all your information how much you made how many people in the house they want to see how much you pay for rent your life your gas social security numbers and that sucks. The village need to do more for the residents so so far they can't help nobody all they want is to take your money that's it they need to get with the times that we are going through now there are no help they need to bring a whole new crew of people into this village Hall that looks out for the residents."
"A complete racket. This place, OVER THREE TIMES IN A ROW has told me that I can’t pay my water bill because the power of attorney on the house hasn’t made me an authorized payer on the account when I’ve had him call *and* go up there to have it straightened out multiple times already. Then when I go up there to pay the bill, they say they have nothing on record and that I’m not authorized to pay. I’ve spent probably about $500 dollars this year alone in late fees and reconnection fees because they refuse to actually DO THEIR JOB. Oh and get this, their billing office hours are 9-5, and if you want your water turned back on after 3pm or on the weekend, it’s an extra $100. You work 9-5 like most people? Too bad! They won’t even let you pay the regular reconnection/late fee if you come in after 3 but want the water turned on at regular hours. I pay ALL the bills here, they are all in my name and I live alone. I have proof of residency and I’m TRYING TO PAY MY BILL BUT YOU WONT LET ME because YOUR STAFF keeps failing to do their jobs. The power of attorney over the house has called and come up there in person multiple MULTIPLE TIMES and every time we are told we will never have to deal with this again. He’s asked multiple times what he has to do, and same as I, and every time we do everything we are asked and yet we STILL have this to deal with. And get this, they never let me pay before the water gets shut off (which is always a random date, you don’t find out until after they’ve turned it off), but once it gets turned off and I go up their raising hell, then they let me pay. So I’m not authorized to pay the bill until you know you’re getting your extra money?? I’m sure this still won’t get resolved, so the next time it happens, they’ll be hearing from some legal representation of mine. This wouldn’t be an issue if this was a regular independently owned company and I could just “take my business elsewhere.” I need to shower, cook, use the toilet, etc. and I can only get my water from one source. To the manager of the Lansing Clerks Office, I hope you value your job because I’m going to ensure that you have to fight to keep it. My 2019 New Years Resolution is to see you in the unemployment line."
