"I give this school no stars bcuz its terrible, and also we dont have freedom to talk then we have a paycheck system witch i feel some teachers take advantge of. Then this might make u think im luing but they have cockroachs mice and the school is dirty. the only thing i like about the school is the learning we get they try to treat us like robots . But they want get me"
"Good morning Google I am a proud mother of 2 cics Avalon students one graduated from there in 2012 and now attends Marquette University excellent school it is filled with parents who care about our children's future"
"Both my children attended school here and my son rarely got in trouble at all but HATED GOING TO SCHOOL and was happy when he Graduated. My daughter currently still attends and was held back due to the amount of send outs and behavior for that year, she is currently in 7th Grade and they have said she can Graduate this Spring when school initially started and even before then but then just recently the Principal tried to say they think she’ll benefit from staying another year NOT because of her grades/test scores but because the amount of deductions/send outs mind you my daughter will be 15 this fall which means she will be TOO OLD for elementary school. This school takes away the children social experience, it’s almost as if the focus is to control the children and the parents and not to educate. My daughter is miserable here and so am I, I can’t wait until she is out of there this Spring NOT A GOOD SCHOOL CHOICE AT ALL (smacks self on the hand) the company that manages this school must be former Military Sergeants or corrections officials because these rules are BANANAS"
"I don’t know who thought that it was a good idea to have a school inspired by the military...Also, the loud yelling... maybe they think the black and brown children are used to it at home already? I will never understand. Another thing.. they want them to be completely silent and won’t give them anytime to. chat with their friends, everything is a hand signal. They are popping up with these charter schools that always have one race as the principal... what about diversity! (Hispanic, African American, and etc) I’m still trying to figure out if they truly care about the children or if they just want to get paid? One pro I do love about the charter schools are the virtues that they enstill in the children!"
"THIS SCHOOL IS NOT A GOOD ENVIRONMENT FOR KIDS; THE SCHOOL IS RAN LIKE A MILITARY SCHOOL FOR KIDS WITH DISCIPLINARY PROBLEMS. THE STAFF YELLS AT THE KIDS, I WITNESS THE ART OR MUSIC NOT SURE WHICH SUBJECT SHE TEACH LADY STANDING ON THE TABLE AFTER SCHOOL WHILE STUDENTS WERE WAITING TO BE PICKED UP YELLING SHUT UP. KIDS CAN NOT DEVELOP THEIR SOCIAL SKILLS AT THIS SCHOOL THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK DURING LUNCH THEY DO NOT GET A BREAK FROM A 8 HOUR LEARNING DAY TO SOCIALIZE WITH THEIR PEERS AND APPARENTLY CAN NOT TALK TO THEIR PEERS AFTER SCHOOL WHILE WAITING FOR RIDES. THE TEACHERS SEND STUDENTS OUT THE CLASS FOR DAYS AND GIVE THEM IN SCHOOL SUSPENSIONS WITHOUT NOTIFYING THE PARENTS SO THE STUDENTS WILL MISS DAYS OF CLASS WORK AND LEARNING TIME . THE SCHOOL NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND MOST OF THE STAFF NEEDS TO BE REPLACED STARTING WITH THE LOWER ACADEMY DEAN."
