Reviews
"This area has no seating at all. Which is terrible if you go do a walk & need to stop at any point. The trail is poorly maintained too, it’s clear that no one from Chicago Park Services ever visits the trail for cleaning."
"I grew up playing out here in the 50s. I was gravel, and seasonal shallow ponds. Would get frog eggs. Stolen cars were abandoned here. Was told the railroad police would shoot me with pepper guns and was always scared of that. This 180 degrees from when I came out here."
"I nice loop for walking. It's a little dark at night so I recommend bringing a flashlight or a headlamp."
"There's a newish multi-use trail that runs through the area. It's a mile each direction, two miles round trip since it's not a loop. Mix of prairie and stands of trees. Still some construction debris around which detracts from the overall beauty. I've seen deer and other small wildlife. There are no drinking fountain or bathroom facilities, not even a porta potty. It's a great place for a short hike."
"Awesome trail right in my backyard!"
