Cumberland Road Rest Area and Welcome Center

"Really nice and peaceful rest area! Bathroom was nice and clean as well as the whole area. I liked that it sits a ways off the highway so you can nap without a lot of annoying highway noise!"

"Beautifully maintained rest area and the staff are top notch! Needed help getting a water jug filled and Billy and a female attendant (I didnt get her name! Sorry!) were very quick to help out. The Pony Truss bridge is a little piece of history and you can actually walk on it! Thank you for all that you do, so that there are amazing places such as this to take a rest from the road. ♡"

"Nice shady stop over along I70 west. Clean place. Lots of historical markers to read. Vending machines. Great American characters here today. Former stomping grounds of Abe Lincoln. Rest rooms were fairly clean. So danged busy I gotta wonder how they keep them decent but they do!"

"Staffed visitor information center. Playground for the kiddies, picnic tables, and green area to stretch those legs. Also convenient emergency booths located around the rest area for additional safety. Loved the gentleman who helped us at the visitor center he was helpful and so happy you couldn’t help but smile."

"Nice, green area to stop with plenty of parking for cars on one side and truckers on the other. However the facilities were from a place that time forgot. The restrooms were cramped, hot and lacked decent ventilation. There was a huge metal fan to try to cool down the space, and move ripe smells around."
