"I am moving from out of state and I contacted this landlord Jarrell Boyd. He picked up and I asked if the property was still available. He stated it is and I had follow up questions that I usually ask landlords because I am moving from out of town. Normally, the other landlords would offer the Zoom option and I offered that option in lue of physically viewing the property. He told me that’s not how this works and told me to find another place to live. I asked him can I set up a showing instead since I will be in town on the 22nd and he said he doesn’t set up viewings 3 weeks in advance. I asked why and he said that people who set up 24 hour viewings end up canceling and I said well, I’m a paying customer, don’t you want my business? He said, you ain’t paid me nothing. He is absolutely rude and he deserve to be a landlord. I am a paying tenant and wanted to secure living prior to getting to Chicago."

"The rudest and unprofessional landlord I’ve ever met!!! Just move in my apartment this month and already have mice problem. The female who called herself the manager is rude and have a nasty attitude. They don’t want to fix nothing in the apartment. I send emails and text messages they won’t reply back and when you do get a call from them they give you the runaround take you number and name and lie about calling u back. They whole management teams is unprofessional and very rude except the nice lady name Stephanie. Been here for a week and a half and already tap two mice’s don’t know how many more is in here. They lady that stay Under me said she been here for 3 years and she had to get a cat for the mice smh."

"The rudest landlord I’ve ever met!! I make 5x the rent for the apartment I was inquiring about. When I followed up on my application he asked how I knew one of my references and then stated it was a red flag I knew this person, which is very rude! Then he completely disregarded my actual paystubs and tried to count out my bills for me. After he counted my rent, car note, car insurance and phone bill and realized I still had over enough to spend for the month he started saying I’m going to spend my money on hair products and going out to eat and I won’t be able to afford the rent. Then he laughed before I could say ANYTHING and hung up the phone in my face. When I called him back and asked if he hung up he said “yup I sure did!” I see why his apartments been vacant for months because he is very unprofessional! He doesn’t need to be a landlord and even some of his current tenants complain about him as well. If I could I would give 0 stars. He got the cheapest apartments in Chicago and still can’t get any tenants I definitely see why!"

"If I could give zero stars I would. I called to rent a unit, the guy asked me the usual questions including income after I stated my salary which is very good and asked why was I moving I informed him I’m downsizing. he stated “I’ll pass” confused I asked why he stated “I just don’t want to do business with you”. I’m confused to why you don’t want to do business with someone who clearly have the means to pay rent. I grew up in the neighborhood where the unit is located so, I had no problem with living there and my Profession requires me to travel. I shouldn’t have to explain my personal reasons or my life story to rent a unit, my credit and salary should’ve been good enough sad that he missed out on a great tenant because of his pre judgement. I see this is a family business he was so rude and unprofessional. I pray they address it at Thanksgiving dinner."
