"Aunty always does a great job. She works with you to ensure you get what you want. I like that she looks at your hair and makes sure that the style you want is appropriate. Rarely do you find a business like this that doesn't just collect the money and braid. She is into hair care. She makes sure the client's style won't damage their hair or scalp. I always come back."
"This women and her staff is like no other, when she give you a appointment it’s exactly your appointment. And they all are really quick and professional. And the shop is always clean. And smells fine."
"Just got some box braids Sunday and they did a very great job! I was in and out in 6 hours! The only thing I would say is they definitely need to CLEAN the shop! Mop the floors for Gods sake!"
"A friend of mine convinced me to go to her shop she gets her hair done at, which was Aunty African Hair Braiding. This was my first and definitely last visit! So many things went wrong here. Soon as we sat in the seat I can say maybe 20 mins. into getting our hair done Aunty which is the owner walks up to my friend and says PAY ME NOW I looked and instantly was upset. That was rude how she asked and we just sat down I couldn't believe how rude this lady was. I said to my friend "why do we pay first"? It shouldn't be that way. I wanted to get up and leave then but didn't. As I was getting my hair done they were talking loud to each other (The braiders in the shop) in their own language the whole time. My stylist was on her phone half the time and she stopped many of time while she talked. At this point I had in my head I wasn't coming back!! When my head was finished, she didn't show me my hair in the small mirror. I had to look at it myself in the restroom. I noticed she french braided some of my hair in the center of my head which made the top of my head not full. I like to wear my ponytail on top and it's so thin I don't even wear it that way now. The ends of my hair looked so unprofessional. I spent $160 on individual box braids which they tried charging me $180 and I don't even like it. Never ever will i return there!!!!!!!!! That was my experience (Just Horrible). My friend didn't like her hair either and this was her favorite spot. She didn't want her hair long they did it and way. She wanted her ends curled and they crinkled it instead. My friend said Aunty (The Owner) acts differently now, she seems like she got big headed and all about the money now and my friend said she will not return either. I'll post pictures soon of my hair! Sunday 2/3/2019 was our visit."
"WARNING : Ladies if you are looking to get your hair did PLEASE DO NOT go to this shop. They claim to be professionals but their work proves they ARE NOT. On july 25th 2018 I went to this shop to get my hair did for my upcoming graduation on the 27th. I showed the lady two pictures of the style that I wanted which was a sew-in weave. To make a long story short, when she got done with my hair, the middle of my head was really sore and tender and my hair looked Horrible. When I asked her about it she told me they don't style the hair they only sew the weave on and that I had to style it myself then she said the soreness will go away after 3 days but it never did. I had headaches and had to take painkillers. Also when I got home and tried to style my hair I noticed that she didn't even fill it in all the way and some of my braids were still visible. So with graduation being two days away I didn't take it down I decided to just try to style it as best as I could and cover up the braids so that it didn't show. The sew in stay in my hair for four and a half days. I decided to take it down because my head was still sore and tender and the style did not look right. When I took it down and I touched the middle of my scalp where it was sore, i felt scabs and when i look at my fingertip i saw blood. I didn't have any scars in my head at all before I went to these people or any head pain or headaches. I took pictures of the scars, And when I called them and sent them pictures of my head they had the audacity to say the scar that I have wouldn't come from me getting a sew in REALLY??? PLEASE DO NOT trust these people to do your hair. I don't want anyone else to experience what I experienced. They deserve zero stars ."
