LUCA’S LAUNDRY

"My family and I have used various Lucas Laundry locations, but the experience at this location today has caused us to most likely never go to another one. The washing machines filled up with brown water causing discoloration in hundreds of dollars worth of clothes. Even the water from the sink was coming out brown. All of the white/bright colored clothes are ruined. We attempted to re wash the clothes and still no luck. The explanation given to us was that the water company must have flushed the water system without letting us know. They refunded one of the washes and pretty much thats all they had to say. The sole purpose of going to the laundromat is to wash fabrics, not stain them with dirty water. If management shrugs this off like it’s no big deal, I wish anybody that comes here luck that they don’t get the brown water special."

"Place is clean. Washers and dryers are fairly new and clean. There is no bathroom which is a big minus for me but would not stop me from bringing a small load for a quick wash. My biggest complaint are the dryers. 15 minutes for small batch of towels should have been long enough to dry . Not even close."

"The facility is very clean, brand new location so all washers and dryers work great. One huge issue, they do not allow you to use their bathroom…., they keep it locked!!!! I was put in a very bad predicament, the night I decided to do laundry ( my washer isn’t working at the moment) it was pouring rain, I do not drive because I’m disabled and use a walker. I have bladder issues, so if I need to go , I REALLY NEED TO GO, LUCA’S IF YOU VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS, MAKE THE BATHROOM AVAILABLE, I pretty much peed myself, I’m very disappointed"

"Very clean, I prefer this place to other laundromat closer to me. My only real problem is the vending machines for both food and laundry needs, take $10 of credit from the laundry cards at a time and does not return what isn't used to the card. It also doesn't let you make multiple choices at once. Sadly it took me around 3 uses to realize this so that's about $30 down the drain, though that is my own fault for not paying attention. I attempted the button that normally returns coins if you decide against the choice, but it didn't work."

"At first, this place was very clean. Last week, when I did laundry here, there was a used drug test left on top of the washer. One of the washers I opened smelled like mildew. There were tons of dryer sheets and other things all over the floor. There is no clear sign of how to use bleach in your wash. I had to figure it out on my own. Maybe create a sign and post somewhere people can see it. This place used to have a bathroom, which was very convenient. Now it says closed due to vandalism and other things. Maybe hang around more. Your regular patrons, especially those that have to bring their kids, need the bathroom. I know that may be an inconvenience, but it is your business. Put some effort into it. The laundromat near me has an attendant Mon-Sat 9-5pm. I get it if you can't be there that many hours, but maybe a presence would deter those who took advantage of your establishment. I have a laundromat closer to me, but I started coming here to clean my big blankets because the place was super clean, had tables you could sit at, vending machines (food/cleaning items), a bathroom, and electronic payments. I might just go back and use my laundromat now even though it only takes quarters/coin dollars. It is clean and closer to my home if someone needs the bathroom."
