Located at 501 Rhawn Street in the historic Fox Chase neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fox Chase Library is a cherished community resource and part of the Free Library system. Our library serves as a vibrant hub for learning, engagement, and cultural enrichment.

- Wednesday to Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm

A Rich History:

Fox Chase Library has deep roots in the community, tracing back to the original settlement by Swedish colonists in 1645. The area has a storied past, with notable figures such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson having visited the historic Ury House. Over time, the library has evolved from its humble beginnings in a renovated school building to the modern facility it is today, thanks to the unwavering dedication of the Friends of the Fox Chase Library and community volunteers.
