"This contractor does patchwork type of company. The work is not accurate Steve is the licensed contractor but he does not do the work nor supervises the unlicensed workers. The quality of his work is mediocre for the amount charged. I would NOT recommend this COMPANY to anyone."

"I don't usually write reviews for really anything, but sometimes when you work with someone or purchase something that far exceeds your expectations, you need to scream it from the rooftops. There are two things in life that are more valuable than Gold, an honest Mechanic and a trustworthy Contractor. I heard about SMS Contracting from a friend of mine who recommended them to me and I am so grateful that he did. Steve, the owner and his crew were on time, professional and their craftsmanship were second to none. He even threw in a couple of minor things in for free because in his professional opinion it finished the job off better. SMS finished the job on time and below budget, how often does that happen. Steve is about building relationships with their customers rather than making the quick buck, he is a true business man and puts the customer first. If anyone is reading this review and is on the fence about hiring SMS, get off of it and hire him and get to work."

"I called the first contractor listed (SMS Contracting Corp.) as a referral by my property managers. I have seen them doing work throughout the development, saw that they were listed first on the PDF, and felt confident in their expertise and knowledge since I noticed the association employs them for several jobs throughout the community. However, after their visit, I experienced an issue with the ventilation in my house. Upon running the dryer, the house would have an excessive amount of moisture and high humidity levels. I noticed the moisture was creating streaks throughout my entire hallway (see photos attached), and I became concerned about mold. Around the same time, I had a different contractor (giving an estimate for a different job) come, and in the process of inspecting the area they noticed that the dryer was hooked up incorrectly which was likely further contributing the excessive moisture build-up, and it also affected the full power of the dryer. I reached out to SMS Contracting to have them come back to re-inspect. Upon their return visit, one of the associates showed me a large slit in the flexible semi-rigid aluminum duct, which was installed by their company only a few months prior. While I understand people make mistakes, and oversights happen, it was this error that caused internal damage to my home. Upon having the contractor return to resolve the issue, they tried to argue that it was not their fault, even though there is no other sensible explanation. After discussing and explaining to the company owner, Steve, he agreed to provide me with a full refund of the original charge. However, after patiently waiting over a month, I never received a check as promised. I then called them to inquire further, and Steve assured me their account manager would send a check out for me the next day. Shortly after, I finally received a check in the mail from the contractor. However, the check that was enclosed was in an amount significantly less than the original charge. I tried reaching out to resolve the issue with the business owner, but he has been incompliant and unresponsive. DO NOT use this business -- unless you want more damage to your property and unprofessional, sketchy contractors."
