Please note that from Monday, September 16th to Friday, September 20th, the Police Department will be conducting firearms training at the William Wilt Complex, which will be closed to the public during this period.

In observance of Labor Day, our municipal offices will be closed on Monday, September 2nd, 2024, and will resume operations on Tuesday, September 3rd, at 8 AM. Please be aware that the Monday collection route will be moved to Tuesday, and Tuesday's route to Wednesday, with no bulk collection that week.

The 2024/2025 Annual Tax Bills have been mailed, and the grace period for the third quarter tax payment due on August 1, 2024, has been extended to September 3rd. Additionally, sewer payments are due on August 15, with a 30-day grace period.

In our commitment to environmental protection, we have enacted ordinances to manage stormwater runoff, and our Public Works Department is ready to provide more information on these initiatives.

For community safety and engagement, the Harrison Township Police Department offers a Community Interface Portal. This resource is designed to keep residents, businesses, and property owners informed, fostering a partnership with law enforcement.

To prevent unsolicited visits, register for our new “No Knock Registry” to stop hawkers, peddlers, solicitors, or canvassers from knocking on your door without prior notice.

Join us for "Neighborhood Nukes: A Presentation on New Jersey’s Cold War Nike Missile Program" and participate in the "Wings of Life Harrison Strong Suicide Awareness Week," hosted in collaboration with the Paul Michael Donahue Foundation. This week of activities is dedicated to raising suicide awareness and educating our community on prevention.
