"A few weeks ago I joined because my husband wanted to be cremated and his brother recommended getting things ready in advance. Two weeks ago, my husband died after a long illness. The hospice nurse called TriState. She told me my husband’s body would be transported by a local funeral home to Wilmington for cremation. Those men were very kind. Several days later, I was called by TriState and informed that my husband’s body had not been cremated yet because: 1. I had to sign an authorization for cremation. (Thought that was done when I paid.) 2. Identify his body. Now, mind you, he died at home and I was alone with him for nearly two hours before the hearse arrived. Tuesday, 12 days after my husband of 43 years passed, a girl calls late and tells me his remains will be delivered by the Postal Service the next day. When I told her I would away, she dismissed me and said I could arrange for redelivery. Wow. She was as empathetic as a rock. I almost felt like I was disturbing her. So, I went online and requested redelivery today. I was afraid to leave the house, in case I missed the mailman. No worries there. At 8:30 am on Thursday, someone at the Lewes DE post office scanned my husband’s remains for pick up only. Apparently that overrides anything you do after even though you have no clue and the USPS blissfully allows you to reschedule and believe it will happen. At 5 pm, I called the post office and was educated. Whatever you may be told, they make ONE and only ONE attempt to deliver period! This has been a very hard time. My advice, DO NOT use TriState Cremations. The young woman was totally absorbed with her convenience and my grief counted for nothing. Unfortunately only the USPS is legally allowed to ship remains."
"From my very first contact with this company until completion this company exceeded my expectations. Caring, constant updates, fast, numerous emails, walked us thru the procedure, and provided us with continuous support. I never thought we would need this service so soon but I am so glad I found them. I highly recommend this company."
