Dr. Christopher Milburn

Welcome to the practice of Dr. Christopher Milburn, located at 200 College Drive, Gloucester Township, New Jersey. As a dedicated psychiatrist specializing in addiction medicine, Dr. Milburn brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Dr. Milburn completed his medical education at Jefferson Medical College and his residency in psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. With a profound interest in addiction treatment, he has worked extensively in various clinical settings, including Jefferson’s methadone maintenance clinic and as director of their psychiatric inpatient unit. His expertise extends to working with pregnant patients dealing with co-occurring substance use and mental health issues.

Throughout his career, Dr. Milburn has contributed significantly to the field of addiction medicine. At Christiana Medical Center, he initiated an outpatient buprenorphine/naloxone treatment program, focusing on opioid use disorders in pregnant women. He also played a pivotal role in developing opioid treatment protocols for hospital inpatients with co-occurring disorders.

At Crozer Hospital, Dr. Milburn expanded the outpatient Suboxone® program, facilitated the opening of a new inpatient detoxification and rehab unit, and enhanced their methadone maintenance treatment program.

Currently, Dr. Milburn is an attending physician at Cooper University Hospital, where he continues to treat patients with opioid and other addictive disorders. His commitment to providing comprehensive and empathetic care makes him a trusted provider in the community.
