"My cousin is currently staying there after having had quadruple bypass and is an amputee and 39 years old. Let me first say that I have tremendous respect for people in the healthcare field. Many go above and beyond for the well-being of their patients. While there may be a few like that at Big Oak, it has not been her experience. She has had to be transported a couple times to the nearby hospital due to complications of diabetes, once because she fell out of bed, and was concerned she may have injured herself. They tried talking her out of it, and treated her like she was being a drama queen. While in the hospital the first time, someone stole her wheelchair. She had recently gotten it because her old one was falling apart. One member of the staff said she looked in all the rooms for it, but couldn't find it. She also had her powerbank and charging cable for her phone stolen. I'm not implying it was one of the staff, but who knows. The place has literally no security and anyone can come and go, so it could have been a visitor. Apparently no security cameras, or they're broken. No idea, and they don't seem to care. No accountability. My cousin is there for 1 more week, and I cannot wait for her to leave that place. I've seen some positive reviews, but I can't imagine the care being anything to boast about. When I've visited, it seems a lot of the staff spend quite a bit of time hanging outside. Just a sad place, with too many apathetic employees."

"Big Oak has gone above and beyond for my aunt who was in for rehab care The Administrator Heather and her staff were nice and sweet and took Excellent Care of her she was on dialysis treatment and the nursing team was knowledgeable and patient We are thankful and grateful and would send her back if needed"

"Big Oak Rehabilitation Center is typical of the other rehabilitation centers I have personally been in. There are a slight majority of GOOD employees however the BAD ones put you through hell. The 3rd shift is the most problematic one. There are times when all STAFF are either sleeping or have left the premises or are sitting in their cars in the parking lot. They need to be fired immediately and some of them need to have criminal charges placed on them for especially NEGLECT, ABUSE, AND ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF SENIOR CITIZENS. HEATHER is the name of the Administrator. She works very hard to help all. However she is bound in her authority by the OWNER (S). I'M a resident here and I have met and talked much with a man named ABRAHAM who is either one of the owners or the owner's representative. I have written to President Joe Biden to ask him for funding through a GRANT to bring this place up to being a role model of rehabilitation and nursing home centers.
