"This is my third time over the years using Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, and I am very grateful that I found this wonderful funeral home. Bob Knotts guided my sister and I through my mother's recent funeral in April. Bob is experienced, honest, compassionate, and he works within your budget to lay your loved one to rest with dignity and respect. Bob is very knowledgeable with the cemeteries and their requirements, and he knows monument companies in the area for the headstones and engraving. I highly recommend Knott's Colonial Funeral Home for your family's funeral needs. You will be in good hands at a very difficult time."
"Knott Colonial did an incredible job for my friend's service. He paid attention to every detail and everything went smoothly. We appreciate all that he does. We recommend Bob to anyone who is looking for a funeral home in the area."
"Extremely disappointing. The owner (and anyone one who worked there) was nowhere to be found the day of the service. I had to ask for music to be played, for toilet paper for the bathroom (which he accused us of stealing, this was before Covid), for flowers to be handed to everyone to be placed on the casket. The owner admitted he was wrong on the many, many issues that were not taken care of, or cared about, but also tried to blame his employees. I had to give the limo driver directions. The owner said "he's old". He wasn't. My mom looked nothing like herself, whomever worked on her must have rushed because it was a terrible job. Not the make-up, her physicality. Absolutely no sympathy from anyone the entire time. Flowers people ordered thru their website did not show up. He offered grief counseling info and didn't give it even after I pointed out that he didn't give it to me. If I could do it again, which I can't, I would have chosen a different funeral home. Don't go there."
"My family used Knott's this week for my grandmother's funeral and about a decade ago for my grandfather. We were very pleased with their services both times. Bob is very down-to-earth. He helps you figure out exactly what you need without trying to upsell you other things. He offers good practical advice to help you make decisions. Pricing is very upfront and clear. My grandmother was prepared beautifully for the viewing. They also seem to know the ins and outs of the local churches and cemetaries, so that made it very easy. Everybody we dealt with seem very professional and things went very smoothly from the viewing, to the ride to the church, to the interment. I would definitely recommend based on my experience."
"My experience with Knott's was sad and awful. From the owner not really caring about us or my mom, after we have used his business for generations, to no one being inside during the entire viewing. We had to ask to have music played, we had to ask for toilet paper (which the owner said one of my family members stole :/ this was before covid). I had to give directions to the limo driver twice to get to the funeral home on time. The owner's excuse was the driver was "old and not with it", he wasn't old. But the worst was the rush job they did on my mom. She looked nothing like herself. I can't go into details its too upsetting but there was no reason for it. I had to ask if everyone could put a flower on the casket before we left the cemetery (we had a ton and they wouldn't let us take them). They just wanted to get it over with I felt. Go somewhere else."
