Einstein Endocrinology at Elkins Park

"Before I could never get in contact with my nurse/doctor… Now my doctor scheduled me for appointments and never contact me for the appointment over zoom… When I called, they tell me I was never scheduled after my doctor has given me a time and date. Also, anytime I have an appointment they would tell me that they will call me to schedule… I never receive a call email or text message so it seems like even when they tell you they will schedule you they don’t and when they say that they already scheduled you, they don’t … as a diabetic with hypothyroidism, It is vital to have these appointments and the lack of care from this office is upsetting. My insurance company contacted me several times about needing a signature from the doctor. It feels as though I have to manage this place more than they do themselves. As a diabetic, I have never received such poor care. I will be changing locations. Not to mention the front desk has a horrible attitude. The unprofessionalism is jaw dropping. Avoid this location if you want to actually take care of your well being."

"I can see why the bad reviews for this place. Reception was rude and doctor was dismissive. When I mentioned being fatigued the response was "everyone gets tired". Not worth waiting months for an appointment."

"Need to update their website -- each doctor profile says they're "accepting new patients," but when I called and finally got through to someone, I was told that all doctors at the practice were fully booked for at least the next 90 days, so I was not allowed to make an appointment. If you can't schedule appointments with new patients, then you are not accepting new patients. Steer clear of Einstein if at all possible; in the past few years, when I tried to make an appointment with doctors (in two completely different areas/fields), I was told by each receptionist that there was no way for me to hope to see any doctors at their Einstein-affiliated practices. When dealing with difficult medical issues, the last thing anyone needs is another door slammed in their face."

"Well today I went for my appointment. When I arrived I signed in and sat and waited to be called up. Then at that point the lady called me up. I do not know her name (she was black women with large over sized glasses on). She asked if I had an appointment. I said yes and she said with who? I said not sure and she stated that’s what I thought. I said excuse me. I then stated it used to be with Lisa but it changed to someone else not sure her name (as only 2nd time seeing this new doctor). She then asked for my birth date. I provided the information. She then stated that doctor had an emergency today. She said we tried to contact you. I asked what my email or phone number is. Crickets. No response. She followed up by stating my new appointment date and time. Bad enough no one contacted me about this change but to be spoken to like this by her is unacceptable! This office needs professional, competent and friendly people at the desk. Unacceptable!"
