"I don’t know that I’ve ever given a bad review perhaps maybe one other. If I could give zero stars or -1 I would from the time I sat down, and the doctor approached me. She was very different than I remembered her the first time. She was perturbed, by the fact that I didn’t come for a physical two months prior after bloodwork. She told me that she had already stated that that’s some thing I should’ve done months back but it’s been a busy year for work so I completely forgot but her attitude and her rudeness with me was off the charts , I asked her if I had done something wrong and that’s when she mentioned that I was supposed to be there two months ago for a physical and blood work I said I’m sorry it was an honest mistake but your disposition seems much different than the first time I met, and she said well I just don’t do business this way. She was very put off very rude and I would admonish anyone to seek a different doctor. I walked out feeling very low and disrespected."
"Penn Medicine is somehow billing routine visits to Smelkinson as "emmergency" visits to Blue Cross resulting in an extra patient co-pay. I fought with Penn Medicine, but my appeal got rejected with no explanation so I just paid the $40. Seems like outright fraud to me, I'll never go back."
"This is a post from Elise Weinreich (not Steve Weinreich} I was a patient of Ann Smelkinson. Recently I notoced a change in her demeanor. I feel she has become cold and was very rude to me. I was so upser that my husband had to take me to the hospital. I will change to a different physician."
"Saw the nurse here, and she is super nice and great. But, I have literally never been treated worse by medical admins. I was literally sobbing on the phone because of an insurance issue and hung up on because I was "raising my voice." (It was hard to talk because I was crying after being yelled at for calling the woman ma'am and not listened to!) This same woman was very abrupt and rude both times I came in-person for a medical visit. Seems like she's very put out that she has to do anything with patients. The great medical staff is not worth how poorly you'll be treated by the front line staff."
"Would give 0 stars if I could. My husband & I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Smelkinson back in August & couldn’t get an appointment until September, which is understandable as we were trying to establish my husband as a new patient & have the doctor be his PCP. But then we were sent a letter in the mail (don’t understand why they couldn’t call, they had a phone number in his chart) saying that WE had to call to reschedule with no reason as to why the doctor couldn’t see him on the original appointment date. I work as a medical assistant & know off the bat that this is unprofessional but I called anyway to reschedule. Today was the reschedule date, the earliest appointment they had was for a whole month after the original appointment date. We get to the office & check in, they ask the routine Covid-19 screening questions & my husband says he has slight congestion but no other symptoms of COVID & the doctor sends one of her office assistants out to tell my husband he can’t be seen today. Completely negligent on her part & she should be ashamed of herself for treating patients like this, especially new ones."
