"Wanted to make an appointment for a first time patient but I was really turned off with the receptionist. She was nasty and unpleasant to talk to. If this practice hires people like her I can’t imagine how the other staffs are. You can definantly hear the annoyance in her voice as if I’m an inconvenience. She’s definantly in the wrong job field. After reading other reviews I’m glad I’m not the only one."

"I’ve been a patient of Doctor Sokel for approximately 20 years now and NEVER had any issues until I called on this day. The receptionist that answered the phone was VERY rude. She hung up on me without any warning. She had absolutely “No Patience” on the phone and shouldn’t be dealing with day to day patients who are seeking medical attention. She’s definitely NOT a people person. Very BAD reflection on the medical office. On the other hand, the other receptionist when I called back was very kind, personable and professional. Sorry for the negative comment but something had to be said. I see I’m not the only one that complained about the receptionist."

"Dr. Sokel is one of the most amazing family physicians I’ve ever gotten to meet. He’s very calm and very patient with his clients and I’m so fortunate to have him as a family doctor in my life. Whenever I am nervous about something he’s very understanding and reassures me that everything’s going to be okay. He’s someone I can trust whenever I have questions or concerns about my health and such (that’s why it’s been told never to trust the internet to search for any medical symptoms of ours because the internet always makes every effort to tell us the worst case scenarios). I trust Dr. Sokel more than the internet. I definitely recommend anyone to go to his practices for your physical/general wellness checkups."

"DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN WITH YOUR HEALTH OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE. Dr. Sokel made a dangerous error while over prescribing my mother an anticonvulsant to treat residual effects of the shingles. She’s been seeing him for over 10 years. He is well aware that she is already on anti seizure medication. Or, at least he certainly should be. She complained of shortness of breath. She called Dr. Sokel over 10 hours ago. We have yet to hear back from him. He wrote a prescription 3x the appropriate amount. Luckily, after I did some research, we found the symptom was a dangerous side effect of overuse. We called her neurologist and they gave her proper instruction to taper off the medication. This man should be ashamed of himself. Do yourself a favor find a younger, sharper, more caring doctor."

"Dr. Sokol is an experienced, kind, compassionate doctor with good bedside manners. I haven't gotten really sick before, so I can't comment on much else. Our whole family goes to his practice, and we've had a good experience."
