Reviews of Reach Out Foundation of Bucks
"Super awesome Great wonderful people who care and go out of the way to help and heal. My personal thanks to Mary what a beautiful blessing and precious privilege to know and met"
"I've visited the shelter a few times this week. My experience: everyone there is wonderful and caring. It is 2 very small location(s) on the ground floor and then there is separate senior care services on the upper floor(s). It's basically a house converted into these facilities. There are 2 sides to the facility on the 1st floor. One focuses more on counseling and support groups and the other is drop in services for the homeless. Call for hours for both facilities as they differ from one another. Yes, they only have one washer and dryer, 1 bathroom with a shower and 2 computers if you need to search for other resources for additional help. They provide lunch and rely on a lot of donations as they are a ministry based facility. You need to sign up on a list for a turn to use the washer/dryer(1 load only at a time), for showers and other things to keep things orderly to prevent fighting. It's my understanding that this is a fairly new facility and they are hoping to move to a larger location due to the amount of people that have been coming in for help."
"This place is horrible! They have no hot water so the showers they have one washing machine and one dryer and hundreds of homeless! They are affiliated with a so-called ministry that is nothing more than a food stamp ring and people are taken out a bucks county and put in a home located at Bridge and Pratt and one of the worst dangerous neighborhoods there is in Philadelphia ! They take your food stamps and your credit cards and your cell phone and you are located in an undisclosed location address is removed from the door and the street sign you're giving donated food most of which is expired and if you want to leave your left at the door down at Bridge and Pratt my belongings have been kept state representative needs to get involved in this"
"This place does it right. A convenient place to attend support groups for mental health concerns from people with mental health concerns. I worked here years ago under the original executive director Kathy Sharp & I have stopped back from time to time to visit the place. I can say witho reluctance that Douglas Hicks has expanded on & improved upon Kathy's original vision."
"It's a nice group of people. About 15 people were having a good talk about how to solve life problems and share coping skills. That was my first time there. It was a good experience. I recommend trying it. I tried something new and it was good. They have a calander with activities for the month. I'm thinking about attending a arts and craft there... Check it out. You might like it."
